As a business entrepreneur Dennis understands the phases of development from startup to a growing organization, and the importance of an online presence. He has also been a volunteer in Mexico for aid building.

Carolyn Castelli

Instructor, NY Presbyterian Hospital/ Westchester, White Plains, NY, US

Carolyn is both a nurse recruiter and a nursing instructor. She grew up in Vietnam as the daughter of missionaries and has maintained a vibrant interest ever since in Christian work that crosses cultures.

Christian Ernstsen

Builder and trainer for international construction aid, working with various non-profit organizations. Vejle, Denmark

Christian and his wife Nina and three children came to BSI from Denmark to intern during June and July 2016. Although Christian intended to learn, he also taught Patti about testing as a medical research engineer and former consultant.  Between trips for building, he improves test methods and edits BSI publications.
 
Several years of his childhood growing up in west Africa gave him a love of other cultures and of bringing formulas down to earth.

Bruce Stouter

Real estate developer and BSI treasurer/ equipment manager, Albuquerque, NM, US

His two years of engineering studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY are supplemented by long-term work with machines and equipment as a general contractor and hvac installer.

Patti Stouter

BSI President/ Secretary, Albuquerque, NM, US

Patti was educated and licensed as a landscape architect in NY and CT. Over the past 20 years she helped her husband’s small construction business with residential renovation and site plans.

In 2007 she began working full-time as a volunteer building designer for Wycliffe Associate’s Construction Services division under the direction of an architect. During this time she was also mentored by Owen Geiger in low-cost alternative building techniques.
